Bar Benders and Fixers must always apply professional knowledge and skills in bar bending and fixing, such as carrying out repair and maintenance for building and civil engineering plants and machinery.

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • (i) completion of relevant training courses is preferable; or (ii) holders of Intermediate Trade Test Certificate or Trade Test Certificate for Bar Bender and Fixer are preferable; or (iii) holders of Certificate of completion of an apprenticeship in the trade of Bar Bender and Fixer or equivalent are preferable.

Professional qualification

  • must be registered as Construction Worker and holders of Green Card when working on construction sites (You may visit Construction Industry Council website for registration details).
