Social Work Assistants

Descriptions & Duties

  • Social Work Assistants are mainly deployed on organising group work programmes and providing counselling and coaching to clients.
    They are responsible for undertaking simple casework service; working with groups and implementing group work programmes; supervising and providing training and counselling to persons under care, in the institutions and other service units administered by the department undertaking outdoor work and emergency relief duties; performing related administrative tasks such as writing reports.

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • normally have a recognised certificate or diploma in social work, preferably with Registered Social Worker
