General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • usually have professional qualification in insurance and/or investment, preferably with a bachelor /master's degree. Sometimes, insurance agent with many years of experience can become an insurance sales manager.

Professional qualification

  • Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Passes in the Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examinations


  • at least 3-5 years' relevant experience
