Descriptions & Duties

  • Gas Fitters install, commission, test and service the distribution systems of LPG/ town gas outside the consumer's building or responsible for all types of gas appliances together with their associated equipment, piping and gas supplies in domestic/ commercial and industrial premises.

Gas Fitters use various tools and measuring instruments to install and repair the gas distribution systems (LPG/ town gas) or gas utilisation systems (domestic/ non-domestic).

Gas Fitters must be able to diagnose and repair problems.

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • Completion of relevant training courses, or an apprenticeship in the trade of Gas, or equivalent

Professional qualification

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant work experiences
