General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • A higher diploma in automotive engineering, or an apprenticeship in the relevant technician programme or equivalent

Experience

  • 5 year's post-qualification experience (with 3 years in supervision post); excluding apprenticeship period

  • Motor Vehicle Examiners normally work in vehicle workshops and occasionally in office. When working in workshops, they are required to follow precautions and wear protective equipment.
