Printing Officer

Descriptions & Duties

  • A Printing Officer is mainly deployed on (a) planning, coordinating and controlling printing production activities; (b) preparing job specifications; (c) coordinating delivery activities; and (d) assisting in managing the operation of a unit / team. In addition, a Printing Officer is required to work shifts and, when necessary, perform overtime work.

Knowledge in Printing Process Management

Printing Officers require a blend of technical, managerial, and quality-control competencies. They oversee the entire printing process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Key competencies include expertise in printing technology, workflow management, software proficiency, and leadership in supervising technicians.

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • Attained five subjects at Level 2 or above in the HKDSE, or five passes in the HKCEE (including Chinese Language, English Language, and Mathematics), or equivalent qualifications.  Holders of a Diploma/ Higher Diploma/ Associate Degree in Print Media are at an advantage.

Experience

  • Diploma in Printing: No experience is required.

    Certificate in Printing: 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
