Descriptions & Duties

  • Statisticians apply statistical methods to collect, organise, interpret and analyse numerical data to provide usable information. They are also responsible for evaluating the statistical methods and procedures used, studying the factors that could affect the results of research and the reasons of high survey nonresponse rates or sampling error, reporting conclusions or results, supervising and instructing workers to collect and tabulate data.
