Statistical Officers

Descriptions & Duties

  • Statistical Officers mainly handle statistical computation and assist in statistical analyses. They encode data with lists of codes for computer entry. They compile charts and graphs by filing and consolidating data, and participate in the publication of data or report to management. They may organise survey forms or reports and conduct quality assurance testing including data audits and checking survey responses for errors. They assist in performing complex statistical analysis to derive meaningful insights and conclusions.

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • Usually have a higher diploma or above in accounting, statistics, actuarial science or mathematics

Experience

  • 3 years of related working experience is required
