Descriptions & Duties

  • Welders & Flame Cutters join, cut and deposit metals including filling holes, indentions, or seams of metal products. Their duties include studying specifications and calculating dimensions to be welded; welding and cutting metal parts ; making and repairing pipes and other fixtures; monitoring welding process to avoid overheating of parts; carrying out all necessary safety precautions; inspecting work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications; repairing products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
