Yacht Deckhands (Maritime)

Descriptions & Duties

  • Yacht Deckhands (Maritime) carry out berthing and unberthing duties under the supervision of Yacht Captains. They also undertake general cleaning and maintenance work. Subject to the size of the yachts, they may need to support water sports activities of the yachts and assist in serving food and beverage to guests.

Yacht Deckhands (Maritime) should have basic navigation knowledge to perform berthing and unberthing duties.

Basic knowledge and skills in machinery maintenance

Yacht Deckhands (Maritime) should be able to assist the Captains in repairing and maintaining the machinery of the yachts.

General Requirements

Professional qualification

  • Pleasure Vessel Operator Grade 2 Certificate preferred but not a must

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of yachting experience

Other specific requirements

  • first-aid and fire-fighting certificates preferred

Monthly Salary $12,000-$20,000

Monthly Salary $25,000 and above

Work Environment

  • Yacht Deckhands (Maritime) work on yachts most of the time. They are exposed to all kinds of weather and required to work on irregular hours subject to the needs of their employers.
