Food Safety Managers

Descriptions & Duties

  • Food safety managers are responsible for the food safety risk control and management with the application of food safety control technologies and hazard analysis in accordance with national laws and standards. They work for the areas of food production, catering services and food logistics.
    Main duties:
    1. Formulate a food safety management system;
    2. Apply for the enterprise food production license or food business license;
    3. Organise food safety training for employees, and implement staff health management;
    4. Manage the hygiene of the food production and business environment;
    5. Manage the safety of raw materials, food and related products;
    6. Manage the process of food procurement, food production, storage and transportation, sales, and catering services;
    7. Manage the regular inspection, traceability, recall, product sample and file records on food safety;
    8. Cooperate with the food safety department in the area of food safety supervision and inspection and handling of food safety incidents.
