Trade Specific Competencies

Facilities management knowledge and skills

Facilities Managers must be able to plan, coordinate, and supervise various contractors, including cleaning, security and building maintenance, for commercial, residential and recreational facilities to ensure that all facilities in the buildings meet health and safety standards and also the legal requirements.

Technical knowledge of building services

Facilities Managers must possess technical maintenance and building knowledge to review, propose and develop facilities management plan. They implement preventive maintenance, repair and replacement works to ensure all facilities in good conditions.

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • A higher diploma or an associate degree in facilities management, estate management, construction, engineering, building services engineering, surveying or relevant discipline, or equivalent

Experience

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
