Descriptions & Duties

  • Fisheries Professionals undertake research and provide advice on capture fisheries, and marine and fresh water fish culture. They also promote conservation on marine environment, habitats and species, such as undertaking planning, management and protection of marine parks and marine reserves, carrying out marine environment, habitats and species conservation, including ecological baseline studies. They also assess and monitor the ecological aspects of environmental change on marine livestock.
