Park Operations Host

Descriptions & Duties

  • Park Operations Hosts greet guests at attractions and throughout the park, control guest flow, load and unload guests from attractions / theatres / shows and operate attractions / ticketing systems. In addition to attractions, they greet guests at souvenir shops, where they operate a sales system to complete cash transactions, and stock and inventory control. They are also responsible for greeting and serving guests with food at a restaurant, operating sales system to complete cash transactions, stock and inventory control, setting up tables and keeping the restaurant clean and tidy.

Park Operations Hosts should possess basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety and be familiar with the ingredients of dishes on the menu, the basics of how the dishes are prepared, and the types of beverages the restaurant provides

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • Completion of Secondary 6 (under the New Senior Secondary Academic Structure); or HKDSE qualification

Experience

  • 1 to less than 3 years of relevant work experience

Related Education & Training

Work Environment

  • Park Operations Hosts generally work at attractions and the entire park area, including indoor and outdoor locations. They may work full-time or part-time and usually work shifts on weekends and holidays which are the peak hours with a crowd of tourists. The staff may also need to stand for a long period and walk a lot during working hours.
