General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • A higher diploma in maritime studies or above is usually required

Professional qualification

  • Relevant certificates recognised by ocean going sector and/ or river trade sector; Certificate of Competency (Deck Officer) Class 3

Experience

  • 12 to 36 months sea-time experience
