Descriptions & Duties

  • Chinese Medicine Practitioners maintain health, and prevent, diagnose and treat illness, disease and injury by applying knowledge and practices developed in China (based on a tradition of more than 2,000 years) , including various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage (Tui na) , exercise (qigong) , and dietary therapy. They are also responsible for evaluating and recording patients' progress and treatment outcomes, providing health, nutrition and lifestyle advice on topics such as stretching, exercise, nutrition, healing process, breathing, and relaxation techniques.

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • A bachelor's degree in Chinese medicine.

Professional qualification

  • Must be registered Chinese medicine practitioners of the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong and hold a valid practicing certificate issued by the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong
