  • Education & School Administrators conduct research, develop/ advise on teaching methods, issues related to course/ curriculum/ pedagogy. They review the work of teachers and the operation of educational institutions and propose amendments and improvements. They also have to deal with school registration, allocation of admission places, training/professional development for teachers/educational professionals, and provide administrative support to schools.

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • generally have a bachelor's degree in any subjects from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent

Professional qualification

  • usually have a certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent

Experience

  • at least 3 years relevant post-degree experience is required

  • Education & School Administrators mostly work in Education Bureau of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government or tertiary education institutions. They generally work during normal office hours. They may visit schools periodically to conduct inspections.
