Trade Specific Competencies

Estate & property management legal knowledge and skills

Property Officers must be well-versed with Building Management Ordinance (BMO), Deed of Mutual Covenant (DMC) and related Ordinances and able to suggest solutions to tackle the issues when problems arise in the properties under their management.

Professional knowledge in organising owners incorporation

Property Officers must be able to coordinate and organise owners incorporation in compliance with the requirements and procedures as set out in the Building Management Ordinance (BMO).

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • A diploma, preferably in property/ housing management or equivalent qualifications

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years' work experience in the field of property management

Other specific requirements

  • must be a holder of a valid Security Personnel Permit (SPP)

Work Environment

  • Property Officers usually work regular office hours. They often attend evening meetings with owners incorporation of the managed buildings. They sometimes work during weekends when annual owners incorporation meetings are arranged.
