  • Event Co-ordinators assist the catering/banquet/event department to generate mainly food and beverage revenue through effective selling, coordination and successful operation of the events. They provide support to Assistant Managers and Managers.

Event Co-ordinators with "Basic Food Hygiene Certificate for Hygiene Managers" recognised by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department in Hong Kong is an advantage.

General Requirements

Academic qualification

  • Professional Diploma/ Diploma or equivalent

Professional qualification

  • With "Basic Food Hygiene Certificate for Hygiene Supervisors" and/ or "Basic Food Hygiene Certificate for Hygiene Managers" recognised by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department in Hong Kong is an advantage

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years' relevant working experience is preferable

Work Environment

  • Event Co-ordinators usually work in offices and sometimes stay onsite at banquet or meeting facilities of hotels or convention centres. They may travel regularly to attend the events. They organise and visit prospective function sites. They often work many additional hours to finalise preparations before conference and event and may have to work on weekends and public holidays.
